The premier golf travel event in Asia Pacific is expected to gather 650 delegates from 36 countries around the world including golf tour operators, travel agencies, tourist accommodations, etc. It is a good chance for Vietnamese enterprises to seek cooperation with international partners.

In the framework of the event, a Golf Awards Ceremony will be held to honor the countries and regions who get outstanding achievements of golf development. The award were voted by the members of Global Golf Tourism Organization (IAGTO) including travel agencies, professional golf operators from 60 different countries.

According to statistics of IAGTO, the golf industry, with about 56 million golfers around the world, has been ranked the 3rd biggest driving force for tourism movement in Asia. Currently, there are 169 IAGTO membership golf travel companies in 41 countries offering golf tourism in Asian region. The expenditure of golf tourism customers is estimated higher than that of other tourists.

The host of AGTC 2017 in Da Nang is considered a very promising opportunity to further develop golf tourism – a high quality product of the city.
